About The Role

At WWT we believe that the best way for people to understand and connect to wetlands is to experience them so we bring awe-inspiring nature up close. You will be directly involved in shaping our visitors’ unforgettable experiences through your warm welcome, your interaction with them and the information that you provide.

As a Casual Canoe Safari Assistant, you will support the visitor experience and ensure the smooth running of the operation daily.

This is a casual position where hours are offered on an ad hoc basis. Candidates will need to be willing to work some weekends, bank holidays and during the school holidays.

About You

Our ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and positive individual and have:

Experience of working in a visitor attraction or similar customer focused operation
Experience of working with people of all ages
Responsible for ensuring visitors use the activity and equipment safely and as directed
Ability to give instructions to visitors
Explain to visitors how to engage with the activity and what they will be required to do
Provide visitors with information on safe operation of canoes
Excellent spoken communication skills
Excellent customer care skills
