About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and support WWT teams in the financial systems upgrade project to deliver a suite of financial systems. This will include training, data migration, User Acceptance Training, issue resolution and go-live.

Role Overview

The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, managing, and delivering the end‑to‑end implementation of the financial systems, working closely with Finance, IT, and external suppliers. The role will focus on ensuring delivery is on time, within scope and budget, and aligned to business requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial system implementation project
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks and issues
  • Ensure strong governance, reporting, and communication throughout the project
  • Support change management, including process redesign and user adoption
  • Oversee testing, data migration, and system rollout activities

This is a full time 6 month fixed term contract working 37.5 hours Monday to Friday.  For this role we can offer the opportunity for hybrid and compressed working (with a minimum of 2-3 days a week in the office).  We will also consider offering this role part time working a minimum of 30 hours a week.   

The role is based at Slimbridge with some travel to WWT sites.

About You

You will be an experienced project manager with strong system and technical skills.  You will have experience of working with financial systems.

You will need:

  • strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, holding yourself and others to agreed timetables
  • excellent communication skills
  • proven problem‑solving and decision‑making capability
  • the ability to train and coach colleagues both within Finance and across WWT
