About The Role

We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers who to support our Mystical Marsh Lantern Trail experience at Slimbridge Wetland Centre, by being a friendly face, answering questions, stewarding the event, or running craft activities. You’ll ensure the smooth running of the trail and bring the magic of wetlands to a whole new audience.

We are looking for volunteers to support the event in a number of key roles. These include:

  • Assisting visitors in the Art Hub with making their very own lanterns.
  • Directing visitors to the start of the trail in the cinema.
  • Supporting with marshalling the trail outside, answering enquires and helping to keep visitors safe in the evening.

About You

Who are we looking for?

 No previous experience needed! We are looking for people who are:

  • Excited by the event
  • Happy to work outdoors in the evening in winter/ or happy to assist with family friendly lantern making.
  • Motivated by engaging with the public and talking about the work of WWT
