Engaging visitors and communities with wetlands

About The Role

At WWT, we believe the best way for people to understand and connect to wetlands is to experience them, so we bring awe-inspiring nature up close and let it do the talking.

We are looking for friendly, outgoing people who would like to be directly involved in shaping our visitors’ experiences by being a point of contact on the reserve, interacting with them and providing key site information including directions and seasonal highlights.

This role will cover a variety of visitor engagement activities, including assisting in running  events, acting as a ‘guide in the hide’ and contributing to digital engagement. We will work with you to determine what you would like to focus on. Ideally suited to a student that would like some volunteering experience to add to their CV or someone who is looking to get back into work.

Volunteers are an essential part of the WWT team. You'll get a warm welcome, including information on training, equipment and anything else you need.

If you are interested in volunteering for WWT but don't wish to apply online, please email [email protected] or leave a message at 01453 891 231 with your name and number.
